Died From Exposure is a browser game by HoneyWired LLC. It runs entirely on your own device. The short version: almost nothing leaves your browser, and we never see any of it.
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server behind this game. HoneyWired does not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit any personal information about you when you play.
Adding a headshot is optional. If you do, the image is read and pixelated entirely inside your browser, using your own device's processing. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. It is held only in your browser's memory for the current session and is discarded the moment you close or reload the tab. We never receive it and could not look at it even if we wanted to.
The name you type and your progress through the game exist only in your browser's memory while you play. They are not saved, not transmitted, and are gone when you leave the page.
This game sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking scripts of any kind.
To render its retro typeface, the game loads the "VT323" font from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches that font, Google may receive your IP address and standard request information as part of delivering it. That exchange is between your browser and Google under the Google Privacy Policy; HoneyWired receives nothing from it. If that request is blocked, the game simply falls back to your device's default monospace font and still works.
The game links to Time Heist (our Mac app), the Mac App Store, and honeywired.com. Those destinations have their own privacy practices. This policy covers only the game itself.
The game collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
If we change how the game handles information, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
