“Chicago Winter Is Coming” Snapchat Lens Wins Silver at 2021 MUSE Creative Awards

HoneyWired is proud to announce that our “Chicago Winter Is Coming” Snapchat Lens has been awarded a Silver at the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards in the Social Media - COVID-19-Related category. This campaign was designed to address the unique challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly during the harsh Chicago winter.

Understanding the increased risks associated with indoor gatherings during colder months, we developed an augmented reality snow globe on Snapchat. This digital experience served as a creative reminder for Chicagoans to prepare for a winter indoors and to continue wearing masks to prevent the spread of the virus. By transforming the iconic Chicago landscape into an interactive AR experience, we aimed to engage the community in a meaningful way, reinforcing the message of safety and preparedness.

The recognition by the MUSE Creative Awards highlights our commitment to using digital innovation to tackle pressing societal issues. This campaign not only leveraged cutting-edge technology but also addressed a critical public health need, demonstrating the power of creative solutions in times of crisis.
