One year ago, as signs of widespread funding cuts began looming over the non-profit sector, we asked ourselves a simple question: What can a creative agency do to help as many organizations as possible—right now?

For #GivingTuesday, that question became an idea.
And that idea became Pixel Pledge.

Pixel Pledge is the first typeface where every character contains a working QR code that links directly to a different nonprofit. Letters, numbers, punctuation—each one becomes a tiny doorway to support. And with it, every word someone types can help multiple organizations at once.

In its first year, Pixel Pledge has already found its way into greeting cards, protest signs, posters, newsletters, and countless everyday communications from people who wanted their words to do more than speak—they wanted them to give.

To celebrate one year of Pixel Pledge, here’s a look at how far a single alphabet can go:
