HoneyWired Launches The Pitch Pizza Tracker

Measuring Chicago advertising war rooms in deep dish to support World Central Kitchen.

Chicago, IL — HoneyWired has launched The Pitch Pizza Tracker, a live dashboard that monitors the late-night habits of Chicago’s top advertising agencies to detect when they are locked in high-stakes new business pitches.

Powered by a matrix of live public data, the tracker acts as an early warning system for agency “war rooms.” By monitoring proxy signals—like after-dark foot traffic spikes at pizzerias near agency headquarters, late-night Divvy bike departures, sudden freelance hiring surges on job boards, and even local weather patterns—the system calculates a real-time “Pitch Index” for shops like Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, Highdive, and Energy BBDO.

But the satirical “Office of Creative Activity Monitoring” is tracking deep dish consumption for a deeper reason: to redirect the advertising industry's intense focus on itself toward actual global crises.

“Welcome to the inside of advertising war rooms. The greatest casualty of all? When the Chief Growth Officer orders pineapple pizza,” says Kevin McGlone, Creative Director and Founder of HoneyWired. “But if this tracker got your attention, we want you to put it to good use. A pizza here is a punchline. A meal elsewhere is a lifeline.”

The site serves as a digital Trojan horse, using data-art and industry inside baseball to drive awareness and direct donations to World Central Kitchen (WCK). While agencies burn the midnight oil pitching accounts, WCK is on the actual front lines, serving fresh meals to families caught in the middle of disasters.

The Pitch Pizza Tracker is strictly a commentary and data-art project. All readings are computed from indirect, third-party public signals (including Open-Meteo, BestTime.app, and public GBFS feeds), and HoneyWired collects no funds and takes no cut from any WCK donations.
